Measure cylinder lock correctly
When you order a cylinder lock from us, you provide the correct dimensions of the cylinder. The length of the cylinder depends on the thickness of the door and the thickness of the door fittings.

Measuring a cylinder lock is not difficult. The length of a cylinder is measured from the center of the profile cylinder. See below for the correct method.

Method of measuring cylinder lock
The best method to measure a cylinder lock is to take the profile cylinder out of the door and then measure it. To do this, you must remove the long mounting screw (side of the door at the level of the cylinder) from the door and you can pull the cylinder lock out of the door by turning the key slightly to the left or to the right.

You can now measure the length from the screw hole. You place the cylinder flat on the table and measure (in millimeters) from the center of the screw hole. Of course you do this from left and right.

Points of attention

• A cylinder may protrude a maximum of 3 mm from the outside of the door
• Not all cylinders in the same building are the same. Measure all cylinders to avoid one size not fitting.
• If the size is not correct, the order can be exchanged/returned within 30 days.

Keyed alike version
The standard length of a cylinder lock is 60mm, or 30mm on the left and 30mm on the right. The length can be extended by 5mm each time on both sides. With thicker doors, the lock is often not in the middle, so the length of the cylinder lock must be adjusted. We supply the desired cylinder locks in a keyed alike version. This allows you to open all doors with 1 key.

A total of 3 keys are supplied as standard with 1 cylinder. If you order multiple locks and make them keyed alike, you will receive 6 keys.

Keyed alike means that multiple cylinders can be opened with the same key(s). The cylinder locks from are suitable for both exterior and interior doors.

A cylinder with an emergency hazard function is equipped with a special interior so that the cylinder can also be operated if there is a key on the other side. Useful against lockouts and in healthcare situations.
